I enjoy working on and with vintage sewing machines, fountain pens and typewriters. My favorite brands include 15 class Singer and Kenmore machines; Parker, Pelikan and Royal. See my listings for gently rehabilitated pens and more.

Love the Dark Lilac
This is my first Safari and I'm very pleased with the pen. I have other FP's but had not seriously considered a Lamy until finding out about the Dark Lilac LE color. Being nearly a year late to the game I couldn't find my first choice of an EF nib so I went with a F. After the initial cleaning it's written beautifully. I like this pen as a "nice-ish" pen I can carry at work and not worry about dings or scratches. Paired with Montblanc Lavender Purple ink it's gotten quite a few complements from other purple loving coworkers and customers.

Not quite but not bad version of the Trackman Wheel
I've used several wired Trackman Wheel T-BB18 mice over the years and one of these TM570 Cordless Trackman Wheels before buying a new one. The wired Trackman is of somewhat higher quality than the cordless version (and are a cult favorite) but the cordless version is still very nice, and features a rocker button in addition to the wheel that you can customize to scroll or quickly navigate pages. Battery life is excellent in this model -- one battery will last for a year or more.
The wired version is shaped slightly better to fit the hand, and the Cordless's clicking noise can be distracting. I've taken apart a T-BB18 for cleaning, and I imagine the clicker can be silenced or muted a bit with some DIY. But, all in all, these TM570's are still very comfortable to use and are a nice pairing for laptops or minimal desk setups.

Well curated and enjoyable folk tune collection for newer adult recorder players
As a newer recorder player but someone with past music experience I find this book to be an approachable and enjoyable collection of folk tunes. It includes well curated pieces that reflect a wide range of cultural styles that have been fun to explore and challenge myself with. I particularly like that the pieces are generally longer and seem suited to adult novice players like myself.
The included solo played CD by author Vicki Swan is helpful and enjoyable on its' own. The book does promise a downloadable MP3 playalong version along with PDF piano parts and French and German translations.
Unfortunately, the web code for that additional content comes up as invalid on Schott's website. I contacted Schott about the code problem several weeks ago and have not yet had a reply. As of today the code problem still hasn't been resolved, so I'm taking a star off for lack of access to online content.
