The best lube!
Rock 'n Roll Gold chain lube is my top choice. It's a whole bunch less messy and build-up than oil (but it does seem to be more water soluble so keep that in mind if you ride in the rain or wet - I'm don't!).

Just fine. Actually greatly exceeds expectations!
Managed to booger up the left Shimano 6400 crank arm on a "classic" bike. To my dismay, even eBay couldn't find a suitable Shimano replacement (at least at a price I was willing to pay) so I went inexpensive as sort of a Hail Mary to keep the bike going. This Sunlite crank arm fit just fine (thanks to a true universal JIS standard). I know it's not a perfect match, but anybody else would have to look a second or third time to know. Works for me!
