Fine for dvd - not the best for Altered DVD projects

If you're using these as regular dvd cases, they're just fine. However, I purchased them to create some altered DVD projects where I needed to cut out the circular part (dvd holder) from the case. They were made a bit different than the dvd I had at time that I created my test piece from. The ones I had at home have a bit of a gap between the right hand side of the circular piece and the edge/closing section of the DVD case. These did not and so trying to slide an utility knife to cut that area out, causes the case to crack right there. (Zoom into photo and look at the straight section on the right side. It appears that a knife should fit through there easily but it does not. My cases at home also have a continue edge around the circular dvd holder so it was easier to guide the knife around the outside, sort of a natural line. The cases I purchased had a few gaps which allows the knife to slide out of place as you try to cut around the curves.
