Good Fit
I bought this unit to work with my Satnav/ stereo head. The unit fits well as intended, in the original situation, wiring is a little tricky being a BMW 3 series as extension wires are needed for the connection to the reverse lamp situated on the rear wing panel and not in the boot lid. The extensions required are for the power adaptor cable, the live and ground for the trigger which have to be routed through the boot lid to the side of the car and then back to the reverse lamp live and ground. Please note when routing the RCA cable, this cable needs cutting so as to enable the cable to pass through the boot lid rubber tube to the side of the car and it is advisable not to join again until the RCA cable is in situ near the head unit. Please note here the RCA Cable is approx. 1 meter too short and needs an extension otherwise you cannot connect it. I connected the head unit to the RCA whilst the cable was not in situ thus it worked. When joining the wires I used gel connectors and then taped them and all seems to work fine now installed. Good product
It is a very good product, the screen whilst large for some could be a little arkward for those with large hands like the writer. All apps work well and would recommend asking for offline maps as online will add data charges. Phone connection works too however voice guidance is not supported, only on offline map apps. It was a shame as the screen resolution was good with a good picture. In general i would recommend it.
