Best *Affordable* Overdrive (IMHO)
1 of 1 found this helpful Great sound. I use the Overdrive range much more than the Distortion range. Makes my old Princeton sound a little meaner, but without the buzzy distortion that a lot of overdrive pedals have (at least the ones I've heard and can afford). I leave it ON just about all the time, tweaking the Drive knob as-needed. Just bought another one, for my son. We both like these a little more than my old faithful Tube Screamer. Only one caveat: (with mine, anyway) if the switch inside the box is set to 'true'--which is true bypass (which is a good thing)--there is sometimes a big 'pop' when you stomp the pedal on (which might be hard on the speakers). But, IF yours does that, and you don't want that 'pop' (I didn't), then you can simply switch that switch to the 'buffer' setting...and the pop is gone like a cool breeze. I don't know if the one we just bought here on eBay (which is a couple of years newer than my first one) has that same issue. But, to me, it's totally worth potentially losing a very slight bit of transparency to avoid that 'pop'. Or maybe someone has come up with a good mod. Either way, it's one of the most useful pedals on our boards. Love it!!

Great Pedal!
I have an old Princeton Reverb. Wanted something to bump the fundamentals up a little. This pedal did exactly what I wanted. I leave it on all the time now. Perfect. Thanks! nvm
