Lightweight machine for walking only
1 of 2 found this helpful One of the worst purchases I have ever made. The assembly of this is straight forward and was assembled by myself in 1 hour. There is a small flaw in the design however. The design flaw is really nothing more than a cosmetic problem. The two piece plastic caps that are designed to hide the wiring and bolts at the base of the right upright will not go down over the wiring. This is a really flimsy machine. It is rated for 300 lbs. but I think even 200 lbs. will be to much for this machine. Mine is an original model and has a 2 CHP motor, ( the newer machine have a 2.5 CHP Motor) which together with the frame is warranted for 5 years. Parts and labor are warranted for 90 days, The display is very limited as to what can be displayed, either speed, or calories burned, or time, but nothing at the same time. It goes to 10 MPH , with 10 incline settings. The walking platform is very short 16 x 50, and was designed for walking only. It also has build in speakers, and you can plug you can listen to your ipod easily It might be better suited for a small apartment. Pro-Form makes excellent treadmills, but this one is on the bottom of the pile. If you purchase this one you should consider the extended 3 - 5 year warranty because in my opinion you will likely need it. Better yet, consider a better model because its almost a sure thing this model will not last very long.

Bachmann Spectrum Products are durable and long lasting
This particular Locomotive along with the other Bachmann " Spectrum Line" products is durable and will last a long time. For a number of years the Spectrum Line was the top of the line products for Bachmann. While the DCC items are considered the Top of the line now, in many ways the Spectrum Line is still a much better product, from the way they are packed, to the details of each item, to the way in which they operate flawlessly and finally the way they were built to last. Every railroad hobbyist should have at least one Bachmann Spectrum Locomotive. This hobbyist is always looking for a new "Spectrum Line" Locomotive as in the opinion of this writer there is no better product.

it does what it clams to do
Ok so it works, but what brush would not work? I was led to believe that it was made to vac 3 slats at a time... but it really is nothing more than a brush in a different shape.... I have an oval brush that works just as well so factually, while it does what it claims to do.... so will the brushes that come with most machines .
