Cool is not quiet
Comments from visitors to my house have remarked, "...I can't hear you... that noisy fan..." and so forth. It does a good job of giving you a cool environment, as long as the fan is not in the same room as you.

High quality bargain
There are electronic devices that are far more complicated... this is simplicity, and solid construction at a reasonable price. Very compact and unobtrusive for most applications. It actually seems like it is part of the attached plug. Most times this item is around $4 or $5 dollars and has a cheaply made, clumsy design. Not this one! It is a winner!

Center the Pitch!
If you have any doubts about your ability to 'hit the right notes', this will give you new confidence. I checked this pitch pipe to an online tuner and it checked out, just about perfect on every note! Excellent!
The impressive part, is the sound! I am learning to play the harmonica, and this thing sounds better than the two harps that I have from Hohner! Great volume and sound!
Most importantly is that it can be that perfect learning device for the beginning musician and especially for vocalists. Learning the song off of recordings doesn't tell you what key your in. With this pipe you can 'feel out' the key by playing around with different notes until you find the one that sounds like you can play it throughout the entire song, THAT'S the key!!
When it comes time to perform the song just give a 'toot' on this pipe for your starting note or just to remind you of what the key sounds like (I do both... depending).
They can be washed out with hot tap water and left to dry (no instructions were available).
Have fun and buy a few of these for the people in your choir that will appreciate the gesture. ;)
