Great Trail and Jobsite Cam!
I bought two Cuddeback Capture Game Cameras for animal spotting and placed them around my home. But what I caught on film were men scoping me for a robbery. I also use these on my construction sites to deter jobsite material thefts. No cables needed and this works! Companies have reimbursed me full loss and fired the culprits. Extra insurance when needed for proof of loss.
This camera triggers photos when a heat source, like animal or human is within 10-15 feet of the heat motion sensor. However, warm exhaust from cars can trigger the motion sensor and take a fairly clear night shot and a very sharp day shot when over 35' away as well.
This camera's viewing is fairly narrow in width. If you buy the flash camera it usually scares off the game at night. Be sure and buy an IR cam if you want a more secretive location for camera at night and you don't want to disturb the game. Daytime shots do not use flash. Nighttime shots take a clear color photo at 10' away.
These cameras are easy to set up and use. Directions are easy to read. 3.0 takes a very clear daytime photo. If something up close triggers it, the landscape is clear in background for over a mile! It holds over 1000 pics with SD card inserted. Keeps date and time on each photo. My batteries have lasted over a month in this camera. It has taken over two hundred photos. Fast reaction time. Clear photos. Setting for retakes is between 30 seconds and several minutes, you decide. No video on this camera. Has a place for keyed lock that give it extra security. Comes with a tree or pole strap, but I prefer butterfly bolts to masonary if possible.
Overall: This is a good camera and it reacts quicker and takes better photos in the night, than my Wildview.
