Ear plugs an option?
This device requires a 9volt battery to sound the alarm. The plug attached is non UK standard but is easy to remove and 3 pin square UK plug can be wired. The alarm is really loud so only switch it on when the mains is connected. Have used this to test RCCD trip caused by earth leak across a field that's how load it is.

Good LED unit but will it take the punishment.
This device arrived well packed individually wrapped in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box.
The lenses are glued to the back shell either with glue or sonic welding but not sure that it is water tight, turns out they are hot glued together (not very well either). The unit is thinner than a standard filament unit (nominally 30mm thick) and the PCB and LEDs can be seen through the coloured plastic moulding and each LED has its own lens moulded into the red or amber moulding above it.
The cable exits the unit in the very centre of the back of the light fitting and the two fixing bolts (M4 x 16mm) are located above and below the cable (53mm apart). The cable (250mm long on my unit) appears to have some silicone sealant on the inside but does not totally seal the unit.
All in all a good unit but doesn't look serviceable and how long it will last on the back of a trailer is anybodies guess.
