Book Titles are Deceiving
I was hoping that the book had a bit of the history of LC Smith Brothers, who discontinued their shotgun business and started making typewriters in 1888. Unfortunately, the book's history starts earlier and ends before that date. The book was in its as advertised condition, but it is merely an additional research book for my collection which focuses exclusively on LC Smith, Smith and Corona, Corona and Early Smith Premier typewriters and other paraphanalea.

Great doll. Better than the Hasbro doll that replaces it today. Were it not for batteries, would have been perfect.
Came with Alkaline batteries that had corroded and damaged the voice box which meant ELMO could not talk. I was able to repair the voice box, but it required cleaning all contacts, splicing wires, soldering contacts. Took almost 2 hours with a technical person. Otherwise clean, cute and what it was advertised to be.
