Seems to work well
3M is a reputable manufacturer of filtration equipment and I respect their ability to make an effective product. I purchased two of their filter units that utilize the same filter media (of which there are oodles of varieties out there-- I just wanted to keep things simple so ordered 4 replacement filters to have in stock for the next year or two).
This tower style air filter has a smaller footprint on the floor and works well in a corner or by the stairway in my main living area. I've also used it in an office room. My son was sneezing and we thought it may be allergy related. I felt that HEPA filtration may be useful in the COVID winter of uncertainty. If one of us gets sick or put in quarantine/isolation, this could help keep their air separately clean from the rest of the household.
The unit is fairly quiet on the low speed setting, and we tend to leave it run whenever someone is in the room when more than one of us is home, or when the person with allergy symptoms is in the house. I realize that dusting of surfaces in the home is also important to making the filter last longer, so am also keeping up on that so the filter doesn't just get loaded with random house dust. HEPA filters can pick up smaller particles down to the aerosol size range, and they actually get more efficient at filtering as they get loaded up (although the throughput of air may diminish then).
Some other models of this product use a more efficient DC motor which is something I considered, but they cost more than what I ended up paying for my purchase of this as an open box return item. I'm guessing that the cost of the replacement filters will still be more than the cost of the electricity to operate either this unit or the DC powered version.
A recessed handle on the side of the unit provides a useful function when you are moving it around from room to room. The unit is not heavy, but also not flimsy. The control button pad on the top of the unit is touch sensitive, not mechanical. I'm hoping it doesn't get fried in any power surges if the power goes out in a storm. So far, so good.

Kind of nice in its own way
1 of 1 found this helpful This will appeal to XTC fans interested in completing a collection of related works. The disc features cover versions of XTC songs by other artists (and one tune hiding in there that is actually by the band itself, under a different name). Fans will recognize the vocals on the real piece buried in the disc.
As a 23-years long and counting, fan of the real XTC-- I wanted to check this cd out to see if the other "tribute" remakes by famous artists like Sara McLaughlin, The Verve Pipe, Joe Jackson, etc. could hold any sort of candle to the real XTC artistry. About half of them were pretty good-- especially when I ripped the songs onto my PC and used an add-in with Windows Media Player to fiddle with the playback speed. (hint: I raised the tempo on several... it was much better then!) That is one of my favorite tweaks when listening to electronic music these days, I can speed it up or slow it down as desired-- it adds a whole new dimension to the music. I wish my portable mp3 player had such a feature!
About 3 songs on this disc I rated 5 stars, only a couple rated low. My favorite track was "Dear God" sung by Sarah McLaughlin. Her vocals are very expressive...
I believe that XTC's music (including the earliest scratchy stuff) has stood the test of time very well, and I continue to enjoy it after many years of listening. That's why I'm not sorry to have just added this disc to my collection even though it also came out over a decade ago now. I remember listening to it in a store (but not buying it) at that time-- and appreciating the "testimonial" tribute from so many bands and musicians who, like me, also appreciated XTC music. Most of my friends in life have no idea who XTC is or was... there's still time to find out, folks!! Enjoy.

Nice looking, with some caveats
1 of 1 found this helpful The deep dish are quite deep and the valve stems are long enough to properly fit. The tires are fine too. Spokes are straight gauge and strong enough for the task. The fixed cog is fine. I plan to ride the freewheel side of the flip flop hub.
The one issue is that the freewheel is not a type that can be easily removed without complete disassembly and likely destruction of the freewheel. It lacks the four pronged notches you normally have on a singlespeed or BMX freewheel, to fit a remover tool onto.
I plan to upgrade the freewheel to the nicer type that has this feature, but will have to go to some trouble to get the existing one off of there.
Overall for the value of this set, the freewheel is not why I bought it. So I'm OK with the compromise.
The rims lack a machined sidewall braking surface. I expect that brake pads will wear through the paint in the brake track (which does exist) within a few hundred miles of urban riding.
These wheels are flashy and will probably roll just fine when they get up to speed. They are heavier than my light set of singlespeed low profile rim alloy road wheels, but I kind of expected that based on the specs. These rims should be quite strong. I look forward to completing the build of the bike they will go on soon.
The cones and bearings are the traditional type, not press - in sealed cartridges. Fyi
