A man ,a plan, a canal
If you find the Panama Canal interesting then this is a wonderful book. It draws on a selection of the many official photographs that were taken of the ships that used the Canal in its early years. They were the source of purpose for the Canal's construction. The Canal remains but all we have left of these ships is their images, and the history that accompanies them.
Each page has a photo of one ship with a descriptive history. There is also a brief history of the construction and politics of the project.
