Hamilton Beach Premium Juicer Machine with Extended Warranty

Great upgrades

I bought a hamilton beach for $180 20 years ago that was clearly the predecessor to this one. The motor on that one finally died after about 40 juice fasts. They added a bunch of features to this one that make it easier to use and also easier to clean. It’s got a smarter design in all but the base. The feet are a little narrower now and it’s not as sturdy. It’s not exactly unstable. It’s just a noticeable difference from the old model. The blue indicator light tells you whether or not the unit is assembled correctly. The old didn’t have that. The new one comes with a splash guard and a collection pitcher, which weren’t included in the old one. For $100, this is a deal. The low motor speed setting is kind of useless but maybe I’ll find some use for it in the future. I wish the teeth of the shredder were longer. Sometimes softer vegetables would fold over instead of being cut as they were plunged. I tried to pack the plunger with stiffer vegetables alongside these items to guide the softer items. That worked for the old one but not always with this juicer. By the way, this is not a good juicer for wheatgrass.
