over priced failure
I got the altimeter and compass for my van. The compass is very inaccurate regardless where it is placed. The altimeter scale is too small and hard to read for quick glances in a car. The thermometer is also too small for viewing quickly when driving. The other functions are of no value for an auto instrument. For hiking or backpacking it is too large. It looks like they tried to make it useful for both car and outdoors and because of that they failed at both.

Needs a longer sensor wire but still the best
The only downside to this sensor is one of the leads should be much longer (2 to 2.5 times as long as it is). It is advertised as a car inside/outside thermometer but with two 3' leads it is impossible to place one outside most cars where it will work properly. That means you have to make two splices in the wire to make it work. Other than that, it is one the best thermometers available.
If you can handle splicing the wires, I highly recommend this temperature sensor.
I often drive with no or very dim instrument lights at night so I added a push button on/off switch to the top, that way I can turn it off if the brightness of the sensor bothers me at night.

Better than expected
They were a little bigger than I expected but laying on their side it worked out good. They are nothing fancy but are much better than my laptop speakers. They sound good and I would buy them again.
