Great, Fun Looper - Good Power Supply Mandatory
I use this with keyboards and it's like turning a mono timbral synth into a poor man's workstation. The initial loop record press is unforgiving. You have to nail it or bail it. I was doing it by hand and it took some getting used to.
Important Note - Use a good power supply. I started off with a Zoom supply for one of their older field recorders. It was in spec for the Looper, but the Looper hummed like a meditation seminar. After several other supplies produced no better results, and I was on the verge of sending this back, I plugged in the supply for my EH 256 Vocoder. And *poof* no more hum. By a decent wall wart or an isolated brick. In fact I would recommend taking it to the music store or electronics supply house and plugging it in until you find one. Or, you can follow the hint in this review and buy an EH power supply.
Five stars if the loops were additive or divisible (double or halve the O Dub lengths). Or sync-able.

Quiet Little Workhorse.
3 of 4 found this helpful This has enough power to trench it's furrow but I bought it for a clean edge after the first round with a 2 cycle .90 weedeater so that it doesn't have to work very hard.I advise the 4AH batteries. Best news is that's quiet, easy to guide and leaves a clean edge. As we all know that narrow clean edge doesn't last long but this thing is so light and quiet it's no problem to go out early in the morning after the dog walk and clean up if it's not time to mow yet. Wish I'd bought one years ago.
FYI it is powerful enough to kick back on you if you start on concrete, a root, embedded stone.

Power Synth - Killer Sound
For the money these are getting on the used market they are the biggest steal in the synth world. Eight voice polyphonic, multi timbral, an almost foolproof phrase sequencer, 19 filter models. This is powerful Virtual Analog in a very small package. Use it with a controller for more key range. Absolutely amazing for the money considering used mono synths with one filter are going for twice as much.
