    Reprint of 1900 Indicator instructions
This is a modern reprint of a rare manual of the Steam Indicator. It covers the same ground that the common Hawkins but then goes further into detail. There is detail instructions for the Coffin Planimeter. This planimeter has two pointers on the opposite side from the measuring side. I knew that they were there for a purpose but until this book explained the function, I did now know what they were for. I recently bought a indicator that had a funny chart that I had never seen. It looked like a ringing circuit in electronics. Here, the book shows how to check a compressor and there was that chart. Well worth the price. Ole L J

    Former quality tool
This was once a super quality tool. The anvils had lost their adjustment nuts. Five were present of the 12 original. I made new on the later form of thumbnut with setscrew to replace all. The missing wood part was reconstructed. The calibrators were all good, one being a bit short but was labeled four places beyond the decimal. One anvil had been ground down a bit to fit a thin measurement in the past. This was cleaned up. Sheet metal hinge screws were replaced with flathead so that the case would open flat again. The original finish was cleaned and it is now a calibrated working tool of high grade.
