1 of 1 found this helpful Contamination of cultures likely due to extremely loose fit. Lid completely covers dish, combination of loose fit makes application of breathable tape difficult if not impossible.
Plus side, payed for two packs of five and received 2 pack of 6.
Autoclaved dishes, utensils and MEA. Made 3 MEA plates with these Petri dishes and 3 with my old dishes (for control plates) all left under laminar flow hood “carbon filter, UVC chamber then hepa filter”.
It’s been roughly 72hrs, the 3 new plates were sealed with breathable press and seal to limit contamination (only option for sealing them due to fit) all 3 new plates have contamination mainly penicillin. My 3 old Petri dishes/MEA plates also sealed with press and seal are unremarkable (no contamination). It’s my opinion due to extremely loose fit and overall design these Petri dishes are not suitable for any scientific analysis. They are also not stackable which is a huge down side but moot point now.

0 of 1 found this helpful At first glance factory O.E.M and Zev look close to same length. Once installed it was day and night. The Zev was indeed longer than O.E.M extended release. Another bonus is the Zev’s milled aluminum design. A mix of graphite and grease has the release as smooth as I could ask for.
