Parker Classic Matte Navy Blue CT ball pen with Blue Quink Refill Fine Nib NEW
    Mar 22, 2018
Not Quite as Nice as the Older USA-Made Version, but Still Pretty Nice
The pen ordered was a matte-blue (with chrome trim) Parker Classic. Comparing it to a black-finished US-made Parker Classic with gold trim, the most noticeable difference is its lack of trim metal at the tip (the picture for this pen still shows it having this in the listing). The pocket clip is very similar, but not identical, and the retracting button lacks the Parker logo (arrow and oval) that the older pen sports. The included cartridge (blue / fine) writes very well. I have no complaints. The finish is pretty much like the US-made pen, both having an attractive satiny sheen, albeit different colors (whereas a black/chrome Classic purchased at the same time was very different in finish). I think it's barely worth noting, but when running my fingers up and down the barrel of the Indian-made pens (and comparing them to the US-made one), I detect a very slight element of unevenness, or small deviations to the general curved taper in the Indian-made ones. I cannot see these deviations in uniformity, and expect no issues from it. I think these Parker Classics were more attractive when they had the trim-colored metal at the tip, but at a cost of less than eight dollars, I think this is a fine value and a very nice pen.
New CREE XPE-R3 LED 1000 Lumens Lamp Clip Mini Penlight Flashlight Torch AAA 66

No-Fuss Function, Small, Bright, and Well-Made
While the pictures aren't identical to what I received, the differences are absolutely minor, and the compact size of this single-AAA flashlight won me over. It is tiny compared to even the slimmest single-AA flashlights I've had, and while I could wish for a zoomable lens (it doesn't have one), the fact that it only has one mode (it's either on or off) saves me the annoyance of having to hit the switch again and again to make sure I've got the brightest setting. The build quality is better than many of the inexpensive single-LED flashlights available, and the button switch (often the Achilles heel of a cheap flashlight) hasn't given me any hiccups, and seems firm enough to avoid being accidentally switched on (it hasn't happened yet, anyway).
Parker Classic Matte Black Chrome trim with Blue Quink Refill Fine Nib NEW

Not as Nice as Older, USA-Made Pens, but Still Nice
The pen ordered was a matte-black (with chrome trim) Parker Classic. Comparing it to a black-finished US-made Parker Classic with gold trim, the most noticeable differences are its lack of metal band at the tip in the trim color (which is consistent with the listing pictures), and the finish is much duller than the satiny-black finish of the older, US-made Parker. The pocket clip is very similar, but not identical, and the retracting button lacks the Parker logo (arrow and oval) that the older pen sports. The included cartridge (blue / fine) writes very well. I've had worse US-made cartridges from Parker. The click-action in this pen seems a little gritty compared to both the older Parker Classic, and to an Indian-made blue/chrome Classic ordered at the same time. The finish isn't nearly as pretty as the US-made pen, looking more like a dull, rubbery finish—matte is the right word for it! The pen had a little bit of a sticking-issue (when clicking the button) when I installed a Fisher Space Pen refill (the blue/chrome one ordered along with it had no such issue), and when I attempted to remedy this, I found that the finish flaked off rather easily at the tip... just a little bit. It's not the end of the world, and I was able to get the Space Pen cartridge working just fine. At a cost of less than eight dollars, I would definitely repurchase.
