Better Than Expected At A Better Than (Most) All Others Price.
My old mud shield had been torn out when (someone I'm related to) drove my car up over a parking place stop. Some of the anchor points were shot, but the entirety of the shield was intact and allowed a direct comparison to the new one.The replacement I purchased from this site was not only an exact OEM match, it was actually slightly heavier in construction. All anchor point holes exactly aligned with those that were still remaining from the original. I was somewhat skeptical when it arrived rolled up in the box, but after setting it on a flat surface for a couple of days it totally flattened, ready to install. Quite pleased with this purchase.

The 1026 is PERFECT for the Gerber Strongarm !
I like the Kydek sheath that comes with my Gerber Strongarm, but the allure of a leather sheath harkens back to my years as a Boy Scout. The 1026 turns out to be a perfect fit, once I formed it.
After soaking the top 4" in hot water for an hour or so. I stretched and worked the opening to allow the knife to seat as far as it can go, then I wedged 2 pens alongside the handle and then wedged a Sharpie on top of the knife handle in order to "set" the exact pathway. Walked away and the next day I pulled it all out and I can't imagine a better fit. Holds the knife with no play at all, yet the blade inserts with perfect tension. Won't shake or fall out. I finished up with a couple of coats of mink oil over the entire sheath and it's good to go ! The oil only darkened the sheath slightly, which I expected.
The double stitching is over and above and the sewn in welt guards those stitches from the Strongarm's VERY sharp edge. There's even a drain hole at the very tip. For the money . . . hell, for 3 times the money, you won't find a better sheath.

Toyota OEM Part. 'Nuff Said.
Good product, no installation guesswork. A bit pricey, but not too bad for the piece of mind reliability that Toyota is known for.
