Works if you use it correctly!
2 of 2 found this helpful Most people will say this is junk and throw it away because they do not know how to use it. First you have to have the little brush adjusted properly so it paints all the way to the edge. Second you need to load the brush with the shield open and then most importantly roll the wall with the shield still open so you get some of the paint off before closing the shield or else it will get on the shield and totally not work.
Third you must roll back and forth and end on the stroke that is pulling the roller forward so you do not leave a mark in the paint.The MX Model with a plastic shield does not leave a mark, the more expensive model with a metal shield leaves a mark from the metal. It sounds complicated but once you learn I can cut in a 10 x 12 room in 20 minutes. I use 2 drywall benches for the ceiling so I do not need to move around a ladder. Also the cut from the roller covers in one coat as opposed to a brush that requires 2 coats. In fact the cut is so dark that I need to roll the wall twice to match.

for the price they seem to hold up better than Schlage which cost more.

Lowers Blood Sugar
