Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for.

I'd put a matching-colored, narrow, low-pile non-slip backed, rug runner, draped along the back of the leather sofa, for him to lay on and to protect it from accidental scratches when he jumps up there. He had started standing at one end of the sofa and reaching up from the floor, hooking his claws on the end of the runner, pulling on it so that it hung part way off the end of the sofa. Then he'd the runner to scratch on. He was continually dragging it off it off to where it was hanging halfway off the end of the sofa and I was constantly having to pull it back up where it belonged. I wanted a small cat scratcher tree that wouldn't take up a lot of room, but that could go against the end of the sofa and [hopefully] give him something acceptable to scratch on, while diverting his attention away from pulling on the throw rug. This little cat tree has worked perfectly! It fits right against the side of the sofa, doesn't take up much space and is very sturdy. It's nice looking and blends well with the sofa colors. Now he scratches on this when he feels the need and...he hasn't messed with the throw once since I bought this.

Works very well.
1 of 1 found this helpful This does exactly what it's supposed to do. It comes in quite handy when you need to split pills or tablets. It seems sturdy and works well even with bigger thicker tablets. it splits pills cleanly and contains them so the halves don't go flying (like they do if trying to split them with a knife or razor blade). I was quite satisfied. The safety guard also protects your finger from the blade while you're placing pills in the splitter. That is also a nice "plus".

Not the same as gravel type substrates. Needs to be capped or takes a long time to settle and clear.
2 of 2 found this helpful Be aware...This substrate is NOT like "gravel". I was thinking it was comparable to Eco-complete planting substrate. Instead, this is more like tiny balls of dried black clay/mud. I didn't realize this until I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed, and couldn't figure out why the water was still turning ink black in color. I then took a piece of this and squished it between my fingers and it smashed like clay. I assume it would eventually settle and the water clear, but you definitely can't just rinse well. and "it's ready to go". It's not necessarily a "bad" product. It may actually be very good for planted tanks, but you need to be aware of what it actually is.
