For work, this was better than a new mac mini.
3 of 3 found this helpful If you want easy memory and hard disk upgradability buy a mac mini made in 2012, and upgrade it vs buying a new one. For me it was worth losing a separate discrete graphics card and only having one, vs two thunderbolt ports, for the extra memory and disk space.
It is worth mentioning that I did upgrade the hard disk from a magnetic disk to an ssd. I did read that unlike windows machines the mac may not support a data distribution drivers called TRIM that attempt to distribute writes evenly across the memory chips that the ssd is made of for longevity purposes.
Rather than trying to get driver support for this workin at the operating system level, I bought an SSD disk from Corsair that has this feature built into it.

Great Trackball so far, feels solid. I would buy it again. Too soon to know how durable it is.
This is the first fingertip trackball I have used since switching to a trackpad when I switched from desktop to notebook PC's years ago. I am impressed with the quality.
