Live at The Bluebird Cafe: Just like being there
I purchased Don Henry's Live at The Bluebird Cafe Honestly because i had already heard it thru a friend. Don as a songwriter has had hits cut by Kathy Mattea and Kim Richie Just to name a few. The Lineup features a fun Live Lineup of Don's Performances at The legendary Bluebird Cafe In Nashville, TN. This was released in 2001 but trust me, it doesn't show it's age.
What I love about This CD is the fun, In the room Atmosphere it offers and in addition to Don's Performance of Hit songs Like Beautiful Fool, B.F.D. and The Kathy Mattea Hit Where've You Been, The realease has a Lot of fun songs and gives the listener an insight as to how some Nashville songwriters work with Word Play. Stay for the Final Cut Harley which will especially entertain harley Davidson Enthusiast, And even if you aren't the whole Folk Song feel will have you wrapped up in the story.
Isn't that what great music is all about? telling a story with catchy lyrics and melody. That my friends is Don Henry.
Whats not to like?
Don Henry's Live at The Bluebird Cafe, It Just like Being There. maybe one day they'll release a DVD to allow you to not only feel but to see the fun as it unfolds. Until then, I've got my Don Henry CD. Lets hope i don't wear it out.

One Listen and you'll know!
Mac Mcannaly May be one of Nashville's best kept secret to some,but if you've listened to Jimmy Buffet Live or on CD, Or you've listened to country songs like "Old Flame"(Alabama) "Two Dozen Roses"(Shenedoah) Or the Kenny Chesney Hit with Mac this year"Down the road" Then you know he's one of the best songwriters
around and he's been releasing Titles since his first project in the 70"s.
He was recently awarded CMA's Musician of The year.and he's also a producer.
The Semi- Tru Story Release Is top notch, Covered with macs own songs and has everything from Ballads to Country the Blues.
Highlight Include The 1st Track Meanwhile, The Rollicking "Come on if Your Coming", and also The Far Side of Heaven. But I've been hard pressed to pick just one track or even a few because the musicianship, songwriting and Production Just proves why Mac Mcannaly Is so great at what he does.
If you've never listened to him try this release.
One Listen And you'll know why I rave, and You'll be hooked just like me and
millions of others.
