The little Vizio 2.1 soundbar that could - now with HDMI Arc.
1 of 1 found this helpful It's true that sometimes good things come in small packages - and this little 2.1 Vizio is one of them. Terrific sound, great little wireless sub that complements the soundbar perfectly as it is quite punchy - the soundbar itself has four different EQ settings, a virtual surround mode that adds width to the sound, and you can also adjust the sub level separately. Purchased this for my home office and it packs more than enough punch for a small 2 midsized room - moving up to this Vizio 2.1 system after the sound from a more expensive all-in-one 2.1 soundbar left me wanting for a real sub when streaming movies/watching YT. This one certainly delivers, loud and no discernible distortion with the volume cranked almost all the way up - not that you'll need to, this set gets quite loud. Hardly ever use it past mid point.
I'd looked at similar bars from Vizio before as the size was perfect for the space I had available but none had an HDMI Arc input, and that was key as I already had my prior bar through that hookup and liked it a lot, both sound and simplicity. HDMI ARc out to Vizio HDMI in, plug bar & sub, and you're all set - the BT woofer is already factory-connected to the bar, though it's easy enough to reconnect. Really takes little to no technical savvy to get this system working.
At this price point, the Vizio V21t-J8 is one of, if not the very best offering in the smallish 2.1 soundbar category. 10/10 would recommend & buy again.
