No heat? Easy fix.
1 of 1 found this helpful If your heat doesn't seem to work unless you're driving (or have the engine running well above idle) then this may be the part you need to replace. An easy way to check is to go under the hood and locate this part. With the engine running at idle (and at normal running temperature), this little guy should be on. It's a quiet electric motor, but you can feel it running. This brings warm coolant into the heater inside the car. If this isn't working, you'll only get heat when the engine is running at higher RPMs. Brand new is crazy expensive, but a good used one should suffice. Better to stick with OE for this, rather than take a chance on some cheap imitation. Clamp the rubber hoses, replace this unit, plug it in, and voila -- heat!
