Yet another chapter in a grand story.
I've been a fan of Pat Metheny since late '79. I have listened to this album for the last 4 years on streaming, and I finally got around to buying the CD. The sound quality is pristine, the musicianship is top-notch and highly emotional in a lot of places. Pat has always had the ability to evoke cinematic images, and the music here does just that. Interesting to know that the orchestra was added later, feels like the whole thing was played live. Favorite cuts; America Undefined, Wide + Far, Same River, Sixty Six. Highly recommended.
