Essential Katharine Hepburn performance from her "mid-career" period. Plus, the scenic splendors of Venice have been beautifully captured.

Enjoyable cocktail piano.
I was happy to discover that ebay had various CDs of Jim Haskins cocktail piano. His style and choice of songs are both relaxing and enjoyable to listen to. Also, great background music for a quiet dinner party or social gathering.

A pleasant travelogue with romance
It's hard to believe that this pleasant-enough, old-fashioned tale of three working women looking for love in Rome was nominated for Best Picture of 1954! But it was the first CinemaScope film to be shot on location on Italy and was also hugely popular. The Fox Studio Classics restoration showcases the scenery quite nicely and the characters are generally appealing. "Roman Holiday" it ain't, but it should please fans of this kind of romantic drama from the period.
