Simple Lock for Simple Duty
My bike was not made with an OEM helmet lock. This is not a problem when I wear a half helmet, which fits inside my locking saddlebag. But I needed something for cold days when I wear a full face helmet.
Here it is. The cable is just long enough to hang the helmet from the hand grip and loop through the d-ring then the riser at the triple tree. Takes almost no space in the saddle bag when not in use.
This is a great deterrent lock, making theft inconvenient and difficult, without the right tools (i.e.: a medium sized bolt cutter).
I wish it could be keyed the same as my other Masterlocks. But, for the price, this is a weatherproof, quality made lock.

Typical OEM ... Overpriced
But... The chrome appears heavy, and will probably last.
It comes with one dummy switch. So if you are buying this for a driving light installation project, you don't have to look at the empty socket. If you never install the hand grip warmers, it still looks good.
I was concerned that the chrome would stand out on my all black Hard-Ball. But, this is a small bracket that tucks under the handle bar block so far that it is about 95% invisible.
