superb!!!
1 of 1 found this helpful The Steve Wilson remix/remaster of this great Gentle Giant album is simply fantastic!! The original master tapes of 3 tracks listed have been lost, so true remixing of these tracks was not possible. On these tracks, The Advent of Panurge, Raconteur Troubadour and The Boys in the Band, Steve Wilson uses the Panteo 5:1 mixer to bring them up to par with the new remix of the rest of the album, with amazing results I might add !! I already have the 2011 Alucard remaster of this album, which is very good, but this new remix/remaster by Steve Wilson takes it to a new level of listening
pleasure. You hear greater presence in the music and all sorts of musical notes that you didn`t notice before. This is a great CD, great Remix, Highly Recommended. You won`t be disappointed!!!

Super Music!!!
It`s a given that VDGG were and still are an acquired taste! That being said, once you acquire that taste you are hooked forever. There is no middle ground here, you either love them or hate them!!
PH himself said that at any given concert 50% were alienated by their music and would walk out...
I am part of the other 50% who stayed and experienced this phenomenal music, and I am still loving it.
VDGG - The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other ( their ' official first release ') is a well structured, well produced album. The addition of David Jackson on Saxes adds great dimension to their sound. This remastered (2005) edition sounds great and with 2 bonus tracks is a must have to any VDGG collection. All of the Peter Hammill VDGG 2005 remasters are superb in my view.
Jump in and Acquire the Taste!!
