Fine for basic use
The bridge is too high (uncut) and predictably the strings poor. After lowering the bridge and changing the strings for prelude it sound absolutely fine and we will leave it in the school cupboard for a perfectly good spare. It will also do fine for a beginner. Good value if you set it up.

Ideal for children
1 of 1 found this helpful This make is easier to play on than dominant for small violins, violas and cellos. It settles quickly and keeps stable. After decades of teaching I have made this my preferred make for fraction size violin or cellos and some violas played by younger, pre grade 5 players. The sound speaks effortlessly.

Good value
This is very good value and perfect for children's instruments, tougher than most.
The only weakness is the handle.
