Pretty good
1 of 1 found this helpful My primary reason for getting these speakers was to complete a surround system around a recently acquired set of Sony front speakers from the same series (ss-f7000 and ss-cn5000). They have proved perfect for that duty. As a standalone speaker, they are fine given the usual limitations of a speaker this size. There are lots of comparable alternatives size and cost-wise if you shop carefully. Energy, Boston, Polk, just a few possibilities if voice matching a set is not a consideration. Perfectly decent speaker for the $. I could use them in many situations and be happy.

Shure Stylus Force Gauge
1 of 1 found this helpful I care enough about the vinyl process to not automatically assume the counterweight readout on a turntable is correct. That said, I'm not nutty enough spend any more than this on a fancier, possibly slightly more accurate device. The Shure is elegantly simple and accurate enough to satisfy my urge to double check. Works as intended and costs little enough that having one is an absolute no-brainer.

Not revolutionary
1 of 1 found this helpful Despite hyperbole on the package, I could not characterize this as a revolutionary improvement on a dipole antenna, performance-wise. Reception doesn't seem to be improved much by changing the direction of the antenna. Primary advantage for me is that it is not an ugly dipole antenna attached to the wall. Performance is comparable, but not improved and the price was definitely right.
Good rabbit ears still probably the best solution if they fit in aesthetically.
