Precise V5 Review
I have used V5's for years. They are my favorite pen. The fine tip.
The ease of writing, or printing in my case is outstanding. No ink
globule left between lifts from one letter to the next. The perfect pen
for writing at a desk.
However, they are not flawless. A serious defect exists . Occasionally,
they will leak. It seems like this occurs as they get low on ink.
I have always worn black pocket tee's and usually kept my black ink
V5's in the shirt pockets.. On several occasions my fingers would be covered in black ink. I have many shirts with black stains from these pens. It's something I have leaned to live with, because I like the pen
so much. I just discard the leaky pen, keep my fingers away from the
pocket and get out another V5. Not your typical customer, I am sure.
If the leak defect did not exist, I would suggest permanent ink, for check
writing and postal addresses. Smearing occurs when wet, but at least
this ink allows me to wash my hands. Shirts remain stained, however.
Anyway, I bought 144 V5's, because I'm in it for the long haul. Hope to
see future improvements. I hate to stain a good shirt. Even thought of
searching for a pen pouch to keep the pen stored in. Probably to bulky
and uncomfortable.
