Wonderful album by a fantastic songwriter (and photographer). A rare modern album whose songs bring some sunshine and light into the world. Tuneful and uplifting.

    LIVE AT THE PARAMOUNT EXPANDED!
This is a much fuller representation of the concert that was excerpted for the original LP. About twice as long, I'd say, and every song is exceptional. The band is so tight! The massively extended American Woman into Trucking Off Across the Sky is a 24-minute trip with some nice scat-singing from Burton Cummings. Also enjoy the interplay of guitarists Kurt Winter and Donnie MacDougall - maybe the best lineup this group ever had (not to diss Randy Bachman, but the two-guitar tandem really brought the songs to life). Great performance, receptive crowd and a very listenable trip into the repertoire of a band that really ought to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by now.
