Great communication. A pleasure to do business with.
This classic 'film noir' is very well done, however the sound transfer from the original film (circa 1950) is absolutely horrible. This is a particular problem for me because the reason I bought the DVD is for use in teaching jazz history. I should explain. At about 18:00 (scene 4 on the DVD) the main character enters a San Francisco jazz club called "The Fisherman" where as the bartender explains, the patrons are "jive crazy". The depiction of jazz in this scene is comical to a jazz professor like me - absolute pandemonium. Its an interesting historical note about how jazz was perceived by those who made this film and a valuable teaching example for me, except the sound is so bad you can't make out what the "jive crazy" patrons are commenting about the band. Too bad.

Pretty glass jar traps no flys
I love this thing hanging above my kitchen counter because it looks pretty, although it is a bit larger than what I had envisioned. The problem is that it does not trap any fruit fly at all. I mixed up the lure as directed, but it doesn't work.

Breville Espresso Coffee Maker ESP6SXL Cafe Modena - Works Great w Portafilter

My first 'real' espresso machine is a joy
I have bought many espresso machines over the past 40 years, but they were all the kind that had no pump. Without a pump, the pressure is too low and so the heat is also too low. They also, many of them, require a two heat-cycle procedure where you put in a sealing dish to get the pressure up and steam the milk first, then let all the pressure out, wait for it to cool off a bit, and then put the coffee in to make the espresso. With this machine, however, there is only a simple procedure - just put in the water, load the coffee, and go! With a pump in there, the pressure builds quickly, and you can get your cappuccino fix in just a few minutes in only one cycle. The bonus is that the result is nice and hot - no microwaving needed with this machine. I am very happy with this unit.
