Ideal Sports Watch
1 of 1 found this helpful I count on my timepieces as an NCAA Football referee. The Armitron 40/8254ORG and the 40/8254BLK match the uniform and are consistent timekeepers I have used both on and off the field. The watch modes are intuitive and easy to navigate, and I so appreciate the ease to stop/start - set/reset the Countdown timer. Whether I'm working a youth flag football game, tough Texas High School match-up, or collegiate level play, this watch does its job.
I would like Armitron to have a silver LCD display for the BLK model, which can get hard to see at night, but the ORG is inconspicuous enough to work night games under the lights. The RED and CRD are good lookers also, but for a little more in cost. Price vs. Performance, you'll find it hard to beat the Armitron 40/8254 series. The prices rarely dip, so $24 is about what you can expect for the buy now, but when they go on bid or best offer, someone always scoops them up.
Sincerely,
ParkRude

No Beating The Price vs. Performance
1 of 1 found this helpful For the price this gives just about anything out there a performance level with any of the top name brand. I would and probably will buy it again.
No breakdown or installation instructions were included, so you need to depress the slide-lock lever 1/2 way to remove the post cover cap sliding it forward. Then you are able to fully depress the lever to slide over the multi-position buffer tube.
Keep in mind if this is a Mil-Spec or Commercial-Spec requirement. If it's a little wobbly, layer a short strip or two of electrician's tape on the buffer before installing the stock, short enough to be concealed by the stock when it slides over.
There are several sling points and 2 QD lock points giving you more options if you are trying the gear up the appearance; however, keep it simple, don't be a "gear weirdo - gear-do"
