Read your manual
1 of 1 found this helpful I'm a working pro who's used D700s for a number of years. Several pluses in the D800. Faster and more accurate auto-focus. Improved auto white balance. many more subtle improvements, but result is an improved image, in my judgment. In Nikon style, they've moved some controls around just to keep us on our toes and otherwise annoy us. Like moving the Focus Area control to.....? I have no need for video and would have much preferred the D800 have built in Wi-Fi- capabilities.
