Cheap and can be good.
0 of 1 found this helpful Had this product before - the quality can vary a lot but once worn in, which can take some time, they become a reliable wire stripper; the adjustment mechanism adjusts for the thickness of wire only - the spring loaded cutter does not adjust and can initially cut the wire as well as the insulation especially when stripping thin wires ( i.e. 24awg and smaller), hence the need to wear in. The unit is rivetted together but that shouldn't stop an enterprising engineer from disassembling, adjusting and re-assembling if needed; for the price of a cup of coffee who's complaining! Once it's adjusted correctly will last for years at a fraction of the price for 'professional' cutters; side note - don't bother with the non-adjustable version (no adjusting knob at the top), not worth the trouble.
