not as advertised
The problem was not specifically the printer, it was with the advertised capability to be set up without the internet. It was to have a CDR to use for setup. I know that's old style but it what I needed for a system that does not use the internet (security purposes). It was also supposed to run on XP with SP-3. None of that was true. No CDR. Instructions inside the box said you had to use the internet. I contacted HP to see it they could supply the CDR as there must have been one in earlier editions. No CDR. Further, the HP rep said that particular unit would not work on XP with any upgrades. Not worth returning so it sits in a room waiting for somebody to need a printer that can connect to the internet. Found a Cannon printer that works just fine with XP and has an installation disc. Just as advertised.
