Old School Rocker Compares Digital BOSS-PH3 to Vintage Analog Maestro Phase Shifter
Okay, I am an old school rocker who used vintage equipment when it was "state of the art". I loved my analog Maestro Phase Shifter that had 3 on-off switches, but after 40 some odd years, it was no longer useable. So I looked for a replacement of that great 70's/80's sound. I read lots of reviews and decided on this BOSS-PH3 Phase Shifter. It certainly works well, and has a myriad of adjustment variables, but as such, it takes a lot to adjust it to where I get the amount of phase that I want. Using it live with the unit on the floor, as it is meant to be used, it is impossible to make changes to the phase between songs, so that is where I find it has its biggest limitation. However, if you are going to use only one phase setting for everything, this is perfect for you.

Great hostess gift!
I am using this as an optional item offered to my customers when making up specialty cheese platters. I think it will be very well accepted as it will enhance my product and be a wonderful hostess gift.
Bought two of these for my band, and tried them out for the first time at a gig. They worked great! Very clear and adjustable for the sound that I needed without feedback. Only negative is that they are hard to stack when storing, as the knobs extend slightly above the cabinet sides. So in order not to damage them, I have to put two short pieces of wood between raw rwo cabinets so I can stack them on each other.
