2016 Diamondback 10x50's ... BUY THESE BINOCULARS ...
2 of 2 found this helpful Simply put, if you can afford to spend approximately $200 - $240 on a pair of 2016 Diamondback 10x50's (depending on where you buy them) .... then just buy them. They are the best made binocular, with the widest FOV, and with the best multi coated glass in that price range BY FAR ! They have good eye relief, and the focusing and diopter rings are sturdy and have just the right dampening, and so does the single hinge. If you are out to buy just one pair of binoculars then the 2016 Diamondback 10x50's are the best all around magnification for multi purpose use (birding, hunting, car camping in Yellowstone, looking out the window of your home etc etc etc) ... At just under 30 oz. they might be a bit to heavy for deep for some to hike deep into the back country with, but that's where the 13.5 oz. 10x28's come into consideration. And finally, if anything goes wrong, their now FAMOUS WARRANTY is so righteous, and so real (as in proven) that there is no need to register or justify anything, just send them in for free repair or replacement, just inform them as to what the problem is. I can't justify spending more on binoculars, I've compared Diamondbacks 10X50s to binoculars costing 3 times as much in a controlled testing environment, including more expensive Vortex models with world class glass, and the differences in image quality are surprisingly small (hardly noticeable). So go figure ... One last thing about the warranty, We've used the warranty with an older Vortex model that were in an accident and damaged, and the folks at Vortex took care of it for us. In less than 10 week, we received a replacement. Finally, a warranty that was backed up by the manufacturer, WOW. And that is why our extended family has what, 10-12 Vortex products. And that's why Vortex has 8 customers who will only buy Vortex in the future. A total win win ... BEST IN CLASS ***** FIVE STARS
