Not bad at all
Good album, it’s definitely worth checking out for Stone Temple Pilots fans.

Good set for the original releases
This is still a good value set, though they have remastered and re released Core and Purple over the past couple years, the original releases still sound good. The recent remasters improve the sound, but they really sounded great already, I could listen to either.
I bought this a few years ago, I had lost my original cd’s over the years and this was a good way to replace them. It’s a bare bones package, no liner notes, thin cardstock, but the music is the same as the original albums. And brand new discs.

25th Anniversary 2CD
I’ve never seen the movie, but the music is stellar. The reissue packaging is waaay nicer than a lot of digipaks, it’s got a very premium feel to it, and the printing of the cover is done some way I’ve never seen before, the cover photo really pops and somehow feels soft, hard to describe. Very deep blacks and a matte finish. It’s so nice I put a plastic poly comic book sleeve over it to protect it from scuffs. It’s slightly oversized which is annoying for storage purposes, but the two discs won’t get trapped in the sleeve. The larger size makes it feel more like opening a vinyl gatefold. Has a very decent booklet and other artwork and photos.
The 2nd disc has even more great music, main draw (for me) are the Chris Cornell demos. This was released not long before or after his passing and felt like a memorial to him in a way, though it was a coincidental release date.
Also, the remastering is well done, I haven’t heard the original release to compare, but sound quality is fine.
Anyway, if you love the ‘’90’s grunge bands on here, you’ll dig this soundtrack even if you haven’t seen the film. And if you have the original disc, this is a worthy upgrade for the remastering, bonus disc and great packaging.
