Only the whistle works
The whistle is a whistle, the string is string and the orange is orange (except for the string which is black.). The compass and thermometer are decorative at best. Compass is sticky and no better than +/- 30° . The thermometer scale is -20 to +50°. Too small to read. Mine reads 4° high.
As long as you accept that this is a cheap toy and don't rely on, it its fine. I don't care and its going in my motorcycle accident kit.

durable caribiner
I've lever had one of these break or wear out. I wouldn't climb with one (!) but good for luggage and hanging things off rucksacks

The battery you should have bought in the first place.
I wish it was acceptable to give 4 stars for "OK", leaving the last one free for exceptional. Firstly the pack itself is armor plated in a rigid plastic. I can't tell if it will go brittle with age like some plastics do. I also can't tell how water proof it is but for now it looks like it with put up with a reasonably aggressive cycling lifestyle. Let's accept that you can't trust capacity ratings for Chinese battery packs so a test was required. I have one of those Cree twin LED lights that look like an owl. I charged it fully with the power supply from that, then connected it to the light. The Light has 3 power settings and a flash mode. On the lowest setting it ran for over 12 hours. That's quite important because it means that you could ride it through the night if you had to. Much better that what it is replacing. I forgot to recharge it and used it next day on flash mode for a 20 minute commute.
Minus points:- . Since its so rigid, I glued a thin piece of foam rubber to stop it vibrating because there is no elasticity in the velcro strap. The cable strain relief is too rigid to work. The included red rear light is fragile garbage, but since that has nothing to do with the battery, I'll just bin it.
