The Pursuit of Happiness ~ it's Real
After I saw the film (by same title) I HAD to read the book. Found a paperback copy on eBay at a nice price and received it in few days.
Fascinating read! A must for anyone who thinks they can't succeed in the United States of America. Recommended for any person struggling to "move on up" Drop the victim mentality, quit whining and read this book.
It will fire you up and make you thankful that our nation is still the great "land of opportunity" regardless of your tragic background or current status. Determination, work, perseverance, integrity and love spill over the pages of Chris Gardner's true story.

Yes for Yupo paper!
I love using Yupo paper with both alcohol Inks and watercolor! It’s like watching a beautiful, mysterious photo develop ( when the medium is applied to Yupo). No other subsraite/ surface compares to Yupo. I’m “ hooked “ on experimenting with it.

Everything an Artist Wants to Know About MARKERS!
1 of 1 found this helpful This book is SO cool...everything an artist wants to know about markers is in this book! There are tons of books available about Watercolor, Drawing, Oil Painting, etc but NOT many on the topic of Markers.
I feel fortunate to have found (and won) this book on eBay.
Published in 1983, so it really wan not something you could pick up at the local bookstore.
I've been looking for a good, informative guide like RENDERING with MARKERS because, honestly...I find markers to be intimidating! Put a pot of acrylic paint in front of me, or a watercolor palette and it's fine.
But facing a blank sheet of paper with a set of high-power markers...now, that is scary. I know the results that I want to create (the finished image is in my mind) but don't know HOW to get there.
This book explains, step by step, how to achieve the desired look. Not too technical either; just challenging enough. This book was listed at a low, reasonable price with decent shipping/handling costs. Besides being a "good deal", I'm happy to add it to my art reference library!
