Good.. For the most part.
2 of 2 found this helpful Have 2 of these on my 10x18 above ground intex pool. Placed a 6x3 ft matte black metal plate underneath them 1/2 way. The metal plate gets hotter than snot and helps heat the mats. As soon as pump is turned on or shortly thereafter the mats start to cool cause of the water flowing through them, I think this help transfer some of the heat. I think would also work better if the outflow on my pool was towards the bottom. Heat rises.. so unles the water is agitated there is not much mixing going on and I think most of the warmer water is staying on top. If I had the space I would use 4.. maybe next year. I think this is a good idea as opposed to an electric heater but you need the room and may need to buy longer hoses depending on placement. I had to scalp the hoses for my vacuum.
