Trangia Cook kit
This is my favorite cook kit for car camping. Love the was it all nests inside of itself. No it is to large for a backpacker. And yes using the spirit burner has a learning curve. But I also purchased the Boulin gas canister burner insert. So I have options on fuel choices. Really like how stable the stand is and the effective built in wind screen. If I just wanted to boil water I have smaller choices in my arsonal. But for cooking a meal it works well. I have also added the optional pot stand to be able to use other cook ware, and the multi lid. I am happy with this kit. And there is enough extra room in it to include a couple sporks, lighter, and 2 or 3 towels inside. With the Trangia kettle it will boil 2 cups of room temperature water in 2 minutes flat with the gas burner. No joking around here. Very versital kit.

Alpine cook kit
This is a convent kit. I like the ability to carry the gas in the base of the burner. The quality is good but not great. The valve which controls the gas flow could be better. It is quite sensitive when you are wanting to say simmer. However if you interest is mostly in boiling water. Mine will boil 2 cups at room temperature in 3 minutes. This kit gives the jet boil a run for the money. And for say coffee while traveleling, or an over night you would not need to carry an extra can of fuel. I like this enough to have purchased 2 units. The second for a family member.

Good value adapter
This adapter has been a good add on to my cooking kit. It allows me to use the taller less expensive butane canisters safely, for either my lantern or my micro stove. The quality is decent and would recommend for someone who can use the butane canisters and not deal with the lack of stability. As a note you will not need to use the adapter to inter face the attachment of fhe can to a screw on type device.
