It works as expected without any unnecessary complication.
I have not had any recent experience with other external hard drives, so I cannot make a comparison.
I connected it and it worked without any drama. Just like I hoped it would.
I am satisfied with the drive and if I need another I will buy another one of these - or a subsequent WD model if I wait until this one is no longer available. I have bought other WD drives over the years and all have been good.

Excellent experience with first C615 for a relative - bought a second one for myself
Setup was true plug-n-play. The images and sound are excellent - much better than many of the talking heads on TV who are working from home.
I haven't set up the second one yet. I need to improve the background first!
I set up my first one in a relative's house. I like it enough that my recent purchase is my second C615 for our house. It will be more convenient to use our computers instead of our laptop.

Good value for OEM cartridges
HP305A cartridges have not been installed. They arrived promptly and appear to have arrived undamaged. They appear to be OEM HP cartridges.
