Can NOT be used for Pressure Canning!
0 of 1 found this helpful The product description "Pressure Cooker" is deceiving. While it may pressure cook food, saving time, it is not a "Pressure Canner" and it cannot be used for pressure canning foods in glass jars. This item is also not FDA approved for such a function. This item was returned because of its limited use for the size and expense.
I have since learned the Instant Pot Max is the appropriate device for "Pressure Canning"; however, it will only pressure can 4 pints at a time and cannot accommodate quarts. Therefore, I will likely not purchase an Instant Pot Max. My personal experience to date tells me the Instant Pot is highly overrated.
