Altra Lone Peak Mid Mesh 4.0 - Ultimate Engineering for Hiking Footwear
Best hiking footwear ever engineered by man. That's my review of the Altra Lone Peak Mid Mesh.4.0. I have worn the Lone Peak for many years. While I own both styles I almost always reach for the mid as opposed to the low top for the following reasons: More contact points with the foot and ankle make for a better and more stable fit, plus the higher top means less sand, pebbles and debris goes into the shoe. The 4.0 is a definite upgrade from previous models for many reasons. The foot shaped toe box and zero drop format are simply better engineering - meaning no more rubbing on any toes (wonderful), and aligning your spine, knees and ankles with the ground as it has been for hundreds of thousands of years in man's evolution. This results in ending the problems in those joints resulting from an artificial lift in the heal of the shoe, which throws all of those joints out of whack with nature. Makes sense, doesn't it? Get these shoes and see what I mean.

Altra Lone Peak - Simply the Best
Best Hiking Shoe on the market today, with one exception - the Altra Lone Peak 4.0 Mid. I prefer the mid, but they are both 5 stars. Altra trail shoes are the ones most chosen by thru-hikers. Why? Because they are on their feet hiking 8 hours a day, every day, and they want the best. What are "thru-hikers" you ask? They are the ones that hike the long trails: Appalachian, Continental Divide, Pacific Crest, etc. Surveys show those people wear Altra. Altra is famous for (1) zero drop, and (2) foot shaped toe box. Get 'em! You will be happy you did!!

Rich and Deep Flavor without the Bitterness
Peet's Major Dickasons Blend and French Roast are probably the two best coffees on the market, if you like a bold, rich flavor, but don't like the bitterness of brands like Starbucks. Peet's is a little more expensive than many of the bargain brands, but if you love a rich cup of coffee, it is well worth it. Get some today, and see what I am talking about.
