Best Tom Waits Record!
His voice really gets to me after awhile, but on this record (which was his first I believe) he just sings without the exaggerated growly-thing. But his voice is still rough enough to sound awesome though. And the songs are so peaceful and incredible...a real work of art. His lyrics really are poetry.

Great sound...great price!
9 of 9 found this helpful It is pretty much understood that this cartridge is the best you can get for this price. Of course there are better cartridges, but you have to consider the rest of your system too. If you have a mid-range system at best, spending $100 on a cartridge instead of $45 probably won't make much of a sound improvement. But every cartridge is unique. This one does have excellent low end which I really appreciate and it seems to mask pops and ticks pretty well since the focus of the cartridge seems to be more on the mids and lows than highs. But the highs are plenty for me too. I have an Ortofon 2M Red on my Pro-ject Debut III and of course it sounds amazing, but the AT95E is perfect for a few other turntables I have set up with lower level systems. For example, I have an AT95E on a Philips 312 with a Dynaco solid state amp and it sounds fantastic. Bottom line, it's an inexpensive cartridge that sounds great. I would suggest it to anyone starting out in the wonderful world of vinyl. If you buy a used turntable, replace the needle (and probably the cartridge...often times not much more for both) immediately so you don't mess up your precious vinyl. A bad needle can ruin records. And don't be afraid of used turntables. Many work better than new ones with just a new belt (on belt drives of course). And changing the cartridge is not that hard...just tiny work that requires a tiny screw driver and needle nose pliers. Always remove the headshell to make it easier and remove needle or leave covered so you don't mess it up during installation.

Great Zafu Batman!
The Zafu is filled with buckwheat that shapes to your body when you sit on it. Once it settles, it is not as thick or as stiff as you might imagine from the photo. If you are meditating in silence, the first couple times you can hear the buckwheat settling, but it stops. It is extremely comfortable, but I just ordered a Zabuton to go with it. That is the pad that goes under the Zafu as padding for your feet and ankles which can start to be uncomfortable after awhile. There are companies that sell sets, which may prove to be more cost effective, but I love this Zafu and the Zabuton is the exact one I wanted too (square from Barefoot Yoga). But the Zabuton cost an additional $70. It's not cheap, but the fancy stuff made for meditating gets me to actually do it, rather than just sitting on the floor or a blanket. And meditating doesn't do anything unless you actually sit down to do it.
