Well built timer
I have had other timers that quit after a couple of years. However, with the timer battery being external, it can be replaced. This is the reason I purchased this timer.

needed
After I programmed the gate opener to auto close , I needed a way to allow guests get out. Now I do not worry about the gate being left open.
